"Dr. Salam was my PCP for 4 years. I didn't know that I could rate her service since I was never asked to review her. It will be difficult for me to find a doctor of her caliber, because she is the best! A great listener and on the money with my health issues. Starling has removed me from her care due to a "promotion." I hope it's a good one for her, because it is bad one for me. I had developed a good relationship with her based on her ability to listen and act on my health issues. Dr. Salam helped me so much during COVID and the other problems I had after that. She made timely referrals when my health needed a specialist, and she kept on top of my progress with each one. Trust is the basic key to successful doctor-patient medical practice. I distrust the reasons why Starling transferred me to someone else, someone I know nothing about. When Starling called me to advise me that she would no longer be my PCP, they ran off a list of 4 other doctors for me to select from, ...
like "Enee, meeni, mynee, Moe. As a result my health goals are up in the air. Thank you Dr. Salam, best wishes to you! "

"My recent visit with Dr Salam was a follow up to recent tests. I have some new conditions based on tests with specialists. She kindly explained exactly what to expect over the next six months and the follow up testing which will be required. I am grateful that she was adamant about having an echo cardiogram performed and she led me through the results along with the specialist. She is a very personable lady, kind and knowledgeable. I am grateful to have her as my PCP. "

"Taking more time with her patients to listen, ask questions and assess would be beneficial. Visits feel rushed. "

"Dr Hoda Salam is an excellent doctor and I am very satisfied having her as my primary care doctor. She is very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator as well as a good listener. She has helped me to maintain and improve an active life style after recovering from surgery. I feel that she has genuine concern for her patients and explains science and her reasoning about wellness very clearly. I am confident in her grasp of the medical issues I have to face and her communication in the plans to deal with them. "

"Dr Hoda Salam is absolutely a horrible doctor. To much to list as far as issues with her as my PCP for a little over a year. Don't let her reviews fool you. she is nothing but a billing machine that keeps you coming in. Heaven forbid you request a referral or tell her you want a second opinion. She will fight you on your request. I wanted a referral to a neurologist and she reluctantly did it. I told her I wanted a second opinion when she stated she wanted to start treating me for diabetes, My records were transferred to the doctor doing the second opinion and she turned around and discharged me to that doctor as my new PCP. I had to call her office and threatened to not only leave my other pulmonary Dr in her office. I threatened to have my wife, son, and daughter leave their practice also. she finally corrected the issue. Now she discharged me because I complained about my care she has given me. They messed up my appointment and I showed up and then complained because they switched ...
it to 2 and a half hours later. After seeing me and finally giving me my first decent visit. she tells me after putting me on a vitamin D regiment that she is releasing me because in her exact words '' At Starling if the patient is unhappy with their care they discharge them" . By the way. My yearly physical consisted of her putting a stethoscope to my chest, back, and a Blood test which she made me come into the office for the results later. When I asked her why I could not get my results over the phone like from my other doctors she told me she does not practice medicine over the phone. If you value your health stay away from her as a doctor. She will send you for UN-needed test. My last visit with her was suppose to be a follow up for a thyroid condition . I had to call back to have er call in a blood test order so I would not have to come back for another office visit. Guess what. She had the blood tested for everything EXCEPT MY THYROID. Dr Salam has no excuse for this one thats for sure. She can say what ever she wants and document anything she wants. If I raise my voice a little because they hear but do not listen. They should at that point start listening to their patients instead of trying to make them seem like they are lunatics or disgruntled. When she told me with a smile she was discharging me because the receptionist complained about me being upset and using the word BS. I then told her to her face she just proved my point that I stated 2 and a half hours earlier that it was all about getting another office visit. She did not care about me or my health when I first got her and she smiled in my face when she told me she was going to have to discharge me. She did not realize she was replaced within an hour with the doctor that not only gave me a correct opinion about one of her mistakes but also stopped me from being treated for something I did not have. If you value your health stay away from her. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
