Dr. Hakki Bolukoglu, MD

Dr. Bolukoglu received his medical degree from Agean University in Izur, Turkey. He completed his residency plus three years of basic science research at The University of Wisconsin in Madison, followed by his cardiology fellowship at The University of Texas in Houston. Through years of extensive research, he has become an expert in heart failure, myocardial metabolism during heart attacks, metabolic treatment of heart failure and by-pass surgery, effects of obesity and diabetes on adult stem cells following a heart attack, and metabolic effects of obesity in heart disease. Dr. Bolukoglu's research is published, he is referenced in several cardiac journals and has presented data at The American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology meetings.
