Initially pursuing my athletic career at LSU, graduating summa cum laude, I sustained an on field ACL rupture ending my collegiate athletic career and pushing my focus to the treatment of such injuries.
First attending medical school in New Orleans, I converted my southern gentlemanly upbringing naturally into a comfortable caring bedside manner. On the way to graduating AOA (highest honor), at the top of my medical school class, I was the school%u2019s Vice-President and the Surgical Society President, along while accumulating numerous awards and scholarships. This allowed me to train at my top choice of Orthopaedic Surgical Residencies, the University of California Irvine, where I excelled in all aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery becoming a Chief Resident.
Upon completion of residency, I was offered an elective year of specialized training in arthroscopy (minimally invasive camera assisted surgery), arthroplasty (joint replacement), complex fracture care, sports injuries and micro-surgical reconstructive techniques at the prestigious NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases where I was named the Administrative Fellow.
Throughout my career I have had several publications, given numerous talks and received multiple awards all while staying involved in resident education and training as well as my professional and local communities. I am currently affiliated with the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, California Orthopaedic Association and Orange County Medical Association.
I have pursued my passion for medical volunteerism by founding %u201CGiving In Good Hands Ortho.%u201D This non-profit organization%u2019s mission is that of not only providing medical care to underserved regions, but focuses on teaching those in such regions how to continually provide such care for themselves.
Residing in Orange County, when not caring of my patients or volunteering locally and abroad, I enjoy cooking, surfing, tennis, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. I appreciate a healthy active lifestyle and understand the importance of quickly getting my patients back to theirs by combining all necessary treatment modalities.

"Dr Robichaux is actually a good physician. He did repair surgery on my knee at Newport Care and my knee about as normal as can be expected after the fracture. After the allegations we all were a bit hesitant about him, but he doesn't deserve to have his practice ripped away from him in the court of public opinion. So far the courts have not found him guilty of any wrongdoing, so I would recommend. ..."Read more
