Dr. Gordon Kavanaugh Stokes, MD

Dr. Stokes earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA in 1988. He then went to the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA and completed his general surgery residency in 1993 and vascular fellowship in 1994. Dr. Stokes has practiced vascular and endovascular surgery in Norfolk, VA since 1994. He is an Assistance Clinical professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Stokes has a special interest in minimally invasive approaches to limb salvage, carotid artery disease, and endograft repair of thoracic and abdominal aortas. Dr. Stokes is board certified by the American Boards of General and Vascular Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgeons, The Medical Society of Virginia, Norfolk Academy of Medicine, American College of Surgeons, and the Virginia Vascular Society. He resides in Norfolk with his wife and two children.
