OVERVIEW

Ginger Janow, MD, MPH, is a pediatric rheumatologist in the DIvision of Pediatric Rheumatology at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital, and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. She also has a Masters degree in Public Health. This training causes her to view patient care on both an individual and community level, and strive to increase the impact on this community via education. The Division recently received approval for the first Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship program in New Jersey, for which she will be the Program Director. This training program will have an enormous impact on the lives of children with rheumatic diseases by increasing the workforce and the specialized training that fellows will receive at the Children's Hospital

"I’ve been seeing Dr Janow for a long time and she has always been a great help. She’s on top of everything, and cares about me as a patient. She always is looking for ways for me to have a positive result when leaving the office. Over the years, that I’ve been seeing Dr Janow have only had positive experiences and things have been getting much better for me."

"It felt like Doctor Janow passed the "I Hate Kids" test with flying colors. Wrong attitude, wrong staff, and worst of all, wrong diagnosis for my teen daughter. Doctor Janow does not believe that teen girls can feel pain, does not believe a word they are saying and all she recommends is "quit your stressful school". Now my daughter is having a surgery for what "can never be your case", according to Dr. Janow. Everything, from messy scheduling and incompetent insurance claims to an unethical staff nurse who can't even put the blood pressure cuffs the right way but provides you with the diagnosis right away. From our experience and the experience of our daughter's friend who was treated in the exact same manner, Dr Janow is mean, unprofessional and a threat to the children's health. "
