"Despite Dr. Addonizio's outstanding credentials, awards, publications, I cannot say strongly enough Stay Away or Run from this inhumane, uncaring, Psychiatrist who does not listen, jumps to absurd pathologizing conclusions and misdiagnoses from misconstruing one tiny piece of information. He may be well-published, but a nice seeming man can mask his poor assessment skills and utter disregard for patient needs, frequently bringing compliant patients to court, threatening them or worse yet, going behind their backs, with entirely inappropriate plans/no criteria, to commit high functioning patients to State Psychiatric Hospitals. He over-medicated with Lithium~ ignoring obvious bad tremors. Frankly, this kind-appearing, soft-spoken man with stellar credentials, is actually sadistic and negligent towards patients, wielding his power in a highly unethical fashion. This kind of Psychiatrist can hide his clinical incompetence from Colleagues, who see his credentials, and not how he mistreats ...
patients emotionally and via misdiagnosis, out of view of colleagues. Families beware: what you see is not at all what your loved one gets. Protect them from this Drs callous disregard for patient lives. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
