"I had an appointment with Dr. Palmer at Boise Valley Asthma and Allergy Clinic. This was by far the WORST experience I’ve ever had with a provider. I walked out of the appointment feeling belittled and hopeless. When I booked my appointment (a month prior), I was clear with the receptionist that I wanted to get a full skin scratch test panel done. I had done one in the past and wanted to see if any of my allergies had changed. I have always had chemical sensitivity so use all-natural products and will break out with most anything applied to my skin. I also am gluten intolerant with celiac in my family. I am constantly battling with bloating, diarrhea, stomach pains, random rashes, and eczema. I had a referral to see this office as I had recently been experiencing unexplained body rashes. Nothing in my normal routine had changed so I expected it to be an allergic reaction from something I had been eating. Dr. Palmer came in with a medical student and seemed nice and to the point. him why I was there and gave him my background. (My appointment was specifically booked for an allergy patch scratch test). He immediately told me an allergy scratch test was not accurate and that he did not recommend them but would do one if I wanted, he just was not able to do it today. I would need to re-book for another day. His advice was to switch all my products (shampoo, lotion, deodorant, etc.) over to this brand he recommended and said to avoid those chemicals and that most people see a drastic difference. He then started to wrap up the appointment as if he was done. At this point, I felt this whole visit was a waste and then I asked if he could do a blood test to see what foods I was allergic to and he said you are not allergic to any foods. Yep, he said that. I was shocked. Like how are you going to tell me I am not allergic to foods without any bloodwork on me? After that, I was done. He was not listening to me and my concerns and I left feeling defeated and disappointed. "
