As a physician specializing in palliative medicine, Dr. Richardson cares for seriously ill patients, working in partnership with the patients primary physician and other medical specialists. He sees patients for consultations and follow-up care in both the clinic and in the hospital. He also sees nursing home patients and makes home visits when medically appropriate.
Dr. Richardson is board certified in family medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed his residency at the Trover Clinic Foundation in Kentucky. Dr. Richardson previously cared for patients as a family medicine physician at Monroe Clinic from 1997 until 2007. He completed a Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Marshfield Clinic/St. Josephs Hospital in 2008. Dr. Richardson is also the Medical Director for Monroe Clinic Hospice.
