OVERVIEW

Originally a DC native, Dr Hoffman's interest in medicine began in High School when she joined the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, getting certified as an Emergency Medical Technician at the age of 17. She then attended Brown University obtaining a BA in Economics, and continued her training at Brown University Medical School. She completed her residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore MD. Dr Hoffman elected for an additional year of training in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the largest regional referral center for acute spinal cord injury patients. In her spare time, she is an avid runner, having completed 5 marathons, in addition to her favorite local races including the Cherry Blossom 10 mile, and the Bethesda Turkey Chase.     To learn more about Dr Hoffman, please visit her website at www.evehoffman.com

"Horrible doctor. Dismissive of pain, was gas lighting symptoms/advice and overall unhelpful and unsympathetic. Not sure how she still has a job. Do not go to her."

"Horrible, terrible doctor. Rushed visit when I was in in extreme pain, hardly able to walk, was scheduling me for a spinal surgery before trying something as easy as an epidural shot. Misdiagnosed location of slipped disc and she would have operated on the wrong area in my spine. In her words I would have likely ended up with a rod in my spine which causes spinal deterioration over the years and therefore she would have affected my life permanently. Went to rehabilitation, pain management doctor in same office and received epidural shot in the correct location after I was heard as to where my pain was coming from. Successfully relieved all pain within days after not being able to walk for six weeks. This is the worst doctor I have ever been to. She showed no care or remorse after learning she had misdiagnosed the source of my pain. Save yourself and avoid this so-called doctor."
