"Ill- mannered front desk employee (Maria) and non punctual when returning patient calls office manager (Margaret) who “works” from home yet fails to return patient calls in a timely manner. I called on a Friday at 1:15 pm to request an appointment with a female physician for my 84 year old grandmother however the front desk employee Maria stated the female physician Dr. McCormick only sees patients with certain conditions therefore my grandmother could only see the male physician Dr. Finger. I said very well what happens in the case where a female patient is requesting the female physician due to privacy and level of comfort etc. She rudely stayed “well if she wants to get treatment it’s with the Dr. Finger (make) because Dr. McCormick (female) is not taking patients with her issue. Frustrated and in dismay considering both doctors are urologists I asked to speak with the office manager and stated I would contact the medical board due to her unethical answer and denying a patients request ...
to see a female physician. Employee Maria stated the office manager was not present and works from home. I asked for a call back after all working from home means an employee is still productively attending to patients and or scheduling, not the case here as the office manager Margaret failed to call back in a timely manner. I called the office again on Monday the phone rang repeatedly no answer, I called again on Tuesday only to be told the “office Manager” was still not in. I eventually got a call back from the office manager Margret at 3:52 pm on Tuesday only to be told “we recommend you see another doctor due to your “adversary comments and saying you will call the medical board”. I stated yes I said that due to your front desk’s lack of professionalism and denying my grandmother the right to see a female urologist. Once again Margaret stayed the female physician only does surgeries (not knowing if my grandmother needs surgery) at the Hospital but is not currently performing them etc etc. Not sure how this was relevant to my grandmother as no diagnosis had been made? Doctor McCormick/ Dr. Finger respectfully, your front desk staff and manager should have empathy, certain level of professionalism and understanding with all patients. After-all your front desk employees are the first impression to your clientele. As for staff: friendly reminder your paid wages are thanks to patients. Be kind and empathic. "

"Rescheduled surgery and bumped up the date at the last minute (VERY inconvenient). Absolutely ZERO follow-up after surgery. Does not seem to care about the concerns of this patient or alleviating pain after the procedure. Seems like she's in it for the money. Dr. McCormick came highly recommended but I am VERY disappointed. "

"After a procedure for kidney stone removal, Dr. McCormick assured me that the procedure was successful. Over the next few days, my pain became unbearable. After repeated attempts to speak with her, she refused to answer my questions or give me any kind of pain medication stronger than Tylenol. She told me to take a hot shower for the pain!?? Seriously?? I ended up in the E.R. and was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery. A medical professional informed me that my kidney was very damaged, and one of the large stones had become lodged in my ureter, causing the excruciating pain! Dr. McCormick had lied about the procedure being successful. She was notified that I was admitted to the hospital, and yet, she never called to check on me...Now I may have to have another surgery to fix my damaged kidney! She didn't care about my pain. She only wants insurance money and doesn't care about her patients pain level or well-being!"

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
