"Dismissive, condescending attitude, borderline confrontational. Would have walked out if it wasn't an emergency/ I hadn't waited so long for an appointment. Great if you're looking for a non-answer/ someone who is looking to do the bare minimum and hopes you accept that."

"I was referred to Dr Dun by Dr Hopkins at NYU. My previous gynecologist believed my mass to be an inguinal hernia for years and did not properly test. A special MRI (that Dr Hopkins ordered, not my previous GYN) found that it was not a hernia, but instead a hard endometrial mass. There were other areas of concern including a STROMAL TUMOR on my left ovary. When I got the results, I was a wreck. I called and emailed my gynecologist’s office crying and begging for an emergency appointment. I finally got an email from my doctor saying that I would have to be booked on the regular schedule. Scheduling said it might be a week or two until she was free. Meanwhile, Dr Hopkins called me within 30 minutes of my results and calmed me down. She recommended Dr Erica Dun at NYU, who was able to fit me in the next day. To be clear, Dr Dun’s schedule was PACKED but her office and Dr Hopkins found a way. Dr Dun is amazing. Dr Dun has been so incredibly responsive and informative through this ...
really scary process. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. Dr Dun and Dr Hopkins made a surgery plan and will be operating me in a month. I couldn't be more grateful to have Dr Dun on my team. "

"Do not recommend. Does not ask questions and does not try to get to know patients. Very much a check the box doctor. If you have an issue, do not go. I am shocked that she asked me no questions and expressed no care for me as a patient or my medical needs. I was extremely unimpressed. I generally love going to NYU but this was not a good doctor appointment. Much was overlooked in my appointment. I would ask for my money back if I could."

"Dr. Dun is laughably incompetent. During the day of my surgery, she (1) was ~20 minutes late, even though I was her only surgery of the day, (2) failed to recall that I had 2 cysts on my right ovary rather than just one, and thus only removed one (even though her own MRI denoted 2 and a separate Doppler from NYU denoted 2; she was also weirdly defensive about this when I reminded her of this before my surgery), (3) seemed horrified that her hospital profile picture was her “new one” which was “horrible” and “needed to be changed immediately” - why is this top of mind for you pre-surgery idiot?, (4) forgot to mark my stomach and had to come back to do so, (5) failed to give me an antibiotic during surgery because she couldn’t recall one I wasn’t allergic to, (6) somehow failed to check my fallopian tubes due to a “dye” error and (7) had to have another doctor step in mid-surgery. She also lacks special awareness (not a good thing for a “surgeon”) and bumped into something pre-surgery. ...
Lol - who let this idiot in? "

"Dr. Dun has been a caring an compassionate doctor to me. I have been impressed by the quality of care that I have received from her, and everyone else that I have interacted with, at her NYU Langone office. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
