About Dr. McCoy Dr. Eric McCoy says he has always held a fascination for physiology, biology, and the musculoskeletal system. As his knowledge grew, and he learned he could leverage these passions to decrease suffering and improve quality of life, he knew that medicine would be the perfect career choice. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. McCoy treats fractures of the pelvis and extremities, as well as arthritis, bones that do not heal properly, and bone infections. “I unfortunately often meet patients following a traumatic event,” he says. “But I feel tremendously honored to play a role in the transformative process of healing and recuperation. It is a unique privilege to minimize disability and maximize rehabilitation for patients who have suffered from traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.” Dr. McCoy is frequently asked whether orthopedic surgery is “barbaric,” but he likes to inform people that this type of surgery is actually quite meticulous and delicate. He takes great care to maximize healing potential for his patients, and is committed to being there for them each step of the way. Dr. McCoy studied at UCLA, and completed his fellowship at Indiana University. He joined Beacon for its dedication to excellence, and for its focus on camaraderie and teamwork. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, weightlifting, and spending time outdoors with his wife and son. Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
