Dr. Emily L Harper grew up and still lives in Lebanon, TN and graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelors degree of Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2007 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

To keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry, Dr. Harper maintains memberships in the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Optometric Association , and the Middle Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society. To stay connected with the community, Dr. Lough participates in local health fairs and is a member of the Lafayette Lions Club.

Dr. Harper is highly nearsighted herself so she understands and relates to the needs of her patients. She puts and emphasis on making sure she provides each patient with the best possible correction. Whether it is through LASIK, glasses or contacts, she is able to give the guidance needed for great vision.

"Dr. Lough is wonderful. She is the best Optometrist I have ever been to. She actually takes time with you to explain everything and answer any questions you have. Dr. Lough really cares about her patients and their care. The staff are friendly and efficient. She does stay busy because she has a repeat clientele. It is best to schedule early to get the appointment you need. Dr. Lough will always get emergencies in though. "
