"I made an appointment to see Dr. Fisher at the beginning of the year because I was trying to find a PCP and establish care (the PCP that was picked for me on my insurance card didn't have availability for several months so they weren't an option for me). My insurance is Allegiance, but it is "called" Advent Health Cast Care. I guess Advent Health somehow paid so they could advertise on my insurance card. Anyway, I thought it would work the same way Kaiser Permanente works, which is what I had before when I lived in GA and what my parents have, but no. Kaiser is the only one who does this thing where the insurance and the chain of hospitals are connected like that, where the insurance is called Kaiser Permanente, and "in-network" means anything that is Kaiser Permanente. Advent Health does NOT work like that. But at the beginning of this year, I thought it did, so I scheduled an appointment with this office because they're Advent Health and they had availability, and I just took it for ...
granted that they were in network for Advent Health Cast Care, I didn't question it. But they knew that I was trying to see a doctor in network, and they knew they weren't in Allegiance's network, at least Dr. Fisher knew that, but when I checked in that day they took my insurance card and didn't check if they were in network or not and charged me just a copay. But a week or so after the appointment they did finally call me to tell me they were out of network (which I thought meant that Dr. Fisher had just decided to leave Advent Health). So at least I didn't keep on seeing her. But at the beginning of this month, 10 months after I saw her, I get a bill for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLERS from her office because apparently that's how much it costs to talk to her for a few minutes without insurance. So, the two stars for her is for charging that much, and for her front desk not informing me that they were out of network, because they knew. Don't tell me they didn't know, I know that they had a list, they could have at least told me "it doesn't look like Dr. Fisher is in network. You might want to call Allegiance and ask and make sure Dr. Fisher is in network. No, ma'am, "Advent Health Cast Care" isn't in network at Advent Health medical group clinics, that's not what that means. "

"Showed up to appointment only to be told they rescheduled me. No phone call, text or email. When they couldn't find any note saying I was contacted, they then proceeded to tell me my insurance isn't accepted even though I went through my carrier to find an approved provider. Every Advent Health is on their approved list. I even saw an Advent Health Orthopedic doctor earlier that day and they accepted my insurance no problem. Very incompetent staff."

"If you want to get ripped of without getting any medical advise or treatment you go ahead and be her patient. In contrary STAY AWAY.I went to see her for the first time and I requested preventative care visit but I was charged as a sick visit without actually being sick .When i asked why I was coded as a sick visit they were giving me different answers without any valid reason.I even went to see her directly and she told me that establishing new patient is the same thing. No real true Christian values like she is presenting herself. She might know something about diseases ( although her experience seems poor) she knows nothing about health. When I see that doctor is obese that tells me a lot. The only reason why I scheduled with her is because she had availability. Now I know why.And at the time she had no reviews left anywhere.I hope this helps future patients."

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
