"I fell off a ladder and smashed one of my vertebrae 7 years ago. Dr. Coplan was the neurosurgeon on duty at Lehigh Valley Hospital and performed the surgery. He removed all the bone fragments and implanted two 8" metal plates with 8 screws. I was in an upper body cast for 2 months. For the past 7 years I have suffered no pain, discomfort or loss of mobility. I had no choice but to have Dr. Coplan perform the surgery, but I am so thankful that he was the one who did it. I can talk about bedside manner, number of visits when in the hospital, accent, etc. But the bottom line is that he did a super job on my back which was in really bad shape. The doc was very helpful in explaining the percentage of success for this type of treatment. There was a possibility of infection, resistance to the implanted metal, permanent damage to nerves and tissue and the doc making mistakes. But none of that happened. Thanks to Dr. Coplan for excellent work!"

" I'm having debilitating neurological issues and he was so dismissive and refused to look into anything. He ignored all my symptoms and acted like he didn't even want to hear my symptoms. He refused to do any tests, didn't follow the protocol of tests that are supposed to be done with my particular symptoms. Not sure if he's lazy or just uneducated. He was also not friendly at all and acted like I was an inconvenience for taking up his time."

"Extremely dismissive of all my symptoms. He was uneducated in things he should know. He said things that are absolutely not true, he didn't know anything about conditions he should know about, I'm not sure if he was lying to dismiss my conditions and symptoms or if he's that uneducated in neurosurgery. He refused to look into anything or do tests, even though my symptoms are very drastic. He talked over me and hardly let me speak. The other neurosurgeon in that office was the same way. It seems like that particular network of doctors are really going downhill. The only thing good about him was that he does video calls since I am too sick to drive, but it was still pointless because of how dismissive and lazy he was."
