OVERVIEW
Dr. Murphy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and went on to complete a neurosurgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He is board certified in neurological surgery and is a member of numerous specialty societies, including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Murphy has been in the private practice of neurosurgery since completing residency.

"Was referred to this doctor from my primary. Extremely rushed. Absolutely nobody in the waiting room they rushed me back there before I even had a quarter of the first page filled out on my questionnaire. "n my 62 years, the worst doctor I have ever had. Rude, arrogant and rushed. MRI showed I have multiple herniated discs and disc compressions. I have had back pain for 25 years. Was looking at my MRI report as he was talking about it and he flipped out on me. Told me he did not like patients reading their own x-rays. I told him they were MRI reports and he just got madder.
