"David Grimshaw's ethical standards are appalling. I saw him as a patient for years, and he caused serious damage by insisting on 'care' which involved far too many narcotic drugs in high doses and osteopathic manipulations which could have gone on for the rest of my life. I went to physical therapy and after one month ended up, essentially, ending my reliance on drugs AND paying him with my insurance a lot of money. Where his standards become so hauntingly below the mainstream and the sickness of him being a professor in the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine is how he did nothing in regards to an abusive parent who it turns signed away my insurance when I was under duress for what must be his own benefit. I should have had insurance for LIFE. Dr. Grimshaw had a business relationship with this man's wife and didn't mention anything within the time frame I could have found out more and received my insurance. What is then appalling is he puts forth and gives power to someone he knows ...
who abused their children and continued to be abusive! All again because of the connection with Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine faculty. Dr. Grimshaw made no attempts whatsoever when he could have taken measure to prevent or ease the ongoing abuse and horrific trauma inflicted which is now coming to a head, as it finally should, revealing David Grimshaw's "Old Town Doc" persona is a sham. The man helped someone be abusive and held his silence and when confronted turned his back on the victim and did nothing. That is NOT the kind of person who belongs teaching anybody and NOT the kind of person anybody should ever want in a Doctor. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
