Dr. David Greuner is a board certified surgeon with over 10 years of experience. His post graduate residency training was performed at University of Arizona and Mount Sinai School of Medicine affiliate hospitals (Morristown Memorial Hospital) where he was named chief resident of the year.
During his training, he scored in the 98th percentile nationwide on his national in-training surgical examination, and was awarded The Hughes Dougan award in 2009 for excellence in surgical technique and dedication to patient care.
His fellowship training in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery was performed at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City. Although Dr. Greuner%u2019s surgical training encompassed a broad base of surgical procedures; his area of interest lies specifically in minimally invasive procedures and minimal access/robotic surgery, including procedures involving the Da Vinci robot, allowing his patients the least disruption possible from their busy lives.
He has trained …with pioneers in minimally invasive and robotic (laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, and endovascular) surgery nationwide, and has performed thousands of these procedures successfully.
He was voted a %u201CTop Surgeon%u201D by the Consumers Research Council of America two years in a row, 2010, and 2011.
Dr. Greuner is active in continuing medical education, and has lectured on surgical topics nationwide, including speaking engagements at Harvard University hospitals.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the International College of Surgeons, and a member of the following societies:

He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Arizona.
Dr. Greuner speaks Spanish and English, as well as conversational Portuguese. His interests outside medicine include skiing, snowboarding, travelling, photography, and cycling.
