"I was referred to see a psychologist for some mental health issues such as anxiety, PTSD, childhood trauma, etc. I haven't been able to actually see one because I was afraid of psychologists such as Dr. Cynthia Peters. I did NOT like my visit whatsoever. She was lacking in everything that a therapist is supposed to provide. I didn't feel supported nor feel that my needs were met. After the visit, she attempted to pressure me into getting anti-depressants and I wanted to opt out of medications which is why I chose to see a therapist to begin with. I respectfully told her I did not want to take medications at this time and told her I was recommended a natural supplement which is St. John's-Wort and she completely talked down on it and said "I don't like it" and kept asking "why" after I gave her my reason and she kept insisting. After the visit, she discussed payment and insurance which I feel that was unprofessional as I know that any out of pocket expenses would be for the staff to discuss with me. I haven't seen a psychiatrist since. "
