"Rock star surgeon with compassion to boot and a great staff!! Hands down, Dr. Klatt-Cromwell is the best surgeon that I’ve ever had!! She is a a rock star surgeon!! I first saw Dr. Klatt-Cromwell in the first two weeks after I was raped three years ago. I had a serious sinus infection after I got really sick after the trauma. I was always getting sinus infections whenever I got sick from anything or even after allergies (I’m treated for allergies too). I've had more than six sinus surgeries over the years, so I have a lot of experience for this review (the first I've evern written). My first sinus surgery was by a bad surgeon. Then the rest had been by an amazing surgeon in this same practice, Dr. Thawley, who retired. He was kind of like the surgery god, but I’m telling you that Dr. Klatt-Cromwell is even better, which I never thought possible!! Please also know that I am *super* choosy on my medical providers (emphasis added). On my first visit with Dr. Klatt-Cromwell, I was, understandably, ...
a hot mess given the circumstances. She was measured, informative, compassionate, took time with me, answered my questions, educated me, showed great patience, didn’t take anything personally, etc. If you know surgeons in general, that is a huge combo to have in a surgeon! Dr. K-C then proceeded to get me better! We needed to hold off on surgery due to the PTSD. She got me through two years, prescribing meds as necessary to fight the recurring sinus infections. She did not pressure me to do the surgery, though she said it was the only way to fix the problem as two of my sinuses by my eyes were closed off. She stuck with me and showed incredible patience and understanding. Not many surgeons would be like that. I was finally ready in the fall of 2019 to do it. It took an incredible surgeon and staff to even get me to show up to the hospital and then to stay there and follow through due to the PTSD, so that’s saying a lot. I had to 100% trust her, and I did. I knew she was highly skilled. But on top of that her bedside manner is incredible! She is so intelligent and an extremely skilled surgeon! She is seriously a role model for life. I had to be put completely under for this surgery since it was right by my eyes, which was a major issue for me due to the PTSD from the rape. She and her staff were absolutely freaking incredible working through that with me, including the entire surgical team!! They even went so far as to get me an all-female surgical team. When they went to put me under in the surgery room (I was not pre-drugged by my choice), I started sobbing. They stopped everything! They waited until I stopped crying. Dr. K-C got up close to my face where I could really see her and told me that “we are going to get you through this.” Then as I quieted, they asked me again if they could put me under, I said yes, and they were right there with me until I was asleep. I will never forget that as long as I live. They were completely above and beyond any expectations. The nature of the flow of an operating room is all dictated by the surgeon because it is their OR – it was all the tone set by Dr. K-C. Surgery is necessarily an austere experience, but I’m telling you that this was like being surrounded by a circle of incredible women willing me to get through this and trying to help me get better. So, I not only was healed with my sinuses by an incredible surgeon and surgical team, but they helped heal my soul – literally! There are no words adequate. The surgery was short and everything went perfect - not at all surprised! I sent her and the team flowers in gratitude after, my experience was *that* incredible! I have had *zero* sinus infections since my surgery and my sinus headaches are a thing of the past!! I just had a nine month follow up appointment and everything is crystal clear in my sinuses! Having had so many sinus surgeries, now with three different surgeons, I can unequivocally say that Dr. Klatt-Cromwell is simply the b "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
