OVERVIEW
Dr. Zhaois a board certified neurologist who is well trained in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. He has also completed a fellowship in Sleep Medicine and has extensive experience in the management of the entire spectrum of sleep disorders, including sleep related breathing disorders, insomnias, hypersomnias, parasomnias, circadian rhythm disorders and sleep related movement disorders.
A native of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, Dr. Zhao attended Johns Hopkins University and graduated from University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and his Neurology residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He stayed on to complete his Sleep Medicine fellowship at the Montefiore Sleep-Wake Disorders Center, the first accredited sleep disorders center in the USA. He has written multiple book chapters in the field of Sleep Medicine and is a member of both the American Academy …of Neurology and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
