"Just irritated. I got about 10 stitches in my head and 4 on my lowerback next to my spine. They really expected me to return to work with a full hat on my head plus a hair net with no lifting restrictions. They did not want to write me a proper excuse to not wear a hat until the stitches and wounds healed nor did they want to put lifting restrictions on it. It’s crazy because I can barely wash or brush my hair and bending is not easy, just turning in the bed is a delicate process. I can’t even put my hair up like I want too. I couldn’t even wash my hair or bathe for 24hours but they expected me to return to work with a hat on my head in 8 hours, lifting 50-75 lbs immediately after with hurting wounds and stitches in my back and head. I had to be pushy to get 24 hours off. My head is so sore and the nurse said just lightly put your hat and hair net on for work and chuckled and said oh…you have no restrictions. Who puts a hat on fresh wounds??? Not to mention lifting heavy stuff with stitches ...in their lowerback. Like really???? I feel like they are not empathetic enough there at times and I don’t ever feel welcome or like they are great care givers like they should be in a time of need. "Read more
