OVERVIEW
Cassandra A. Cespedes Carrasco, PsyD, is a bilingual (English and Spanish) licensed clinical psychologist working within the Pediatric Neuropsychology clinic. Dr. Cespedes Carrasco treats children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 7-25) presenting with a wide range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. She also works to integrate her understanding of how medical conditions impact other areas of an individual’s life such as cognitive abilities, academic performance, social functioning, and mood. Dr. Cespedes Carrasco has experience working in a variety of settings including, community mental health, private practice, and pediatric hospitals. Dr. Cespedes Carrasco utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, with emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques. Dr. Cespedes Carrasco earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at Arkansas Families First, LLC, a private practice located in North Little Rock, Arkansas. There, Dr. Cespedes Carrasco provided individual, family and group counseling services, as well as comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to children and young adults. Dr. Cespedes Carrasco completed her internship at Institute for Child and Family Health, Inc., in Miami, Florida where she focused on trauma-informed training and care for children, adolescents, and young adults.
