Always interested in science and helping people, Dr. Casie Blanton had the perfect role model for her future career: her mother was a physician. Her choice of podiatry as a specialty came from an accident - a fish bone went through her foot while walking on a beach. The subsequent extraction fascinated her and steered her to podiatric surgery. Dr. Blanton diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the foot, ankle and related structures of the leg. She is fellowship-trained in orthopedic plastic surgery and is particularly interested in limb reconstruction and limb salvage. She believes in creating a friendly atmosphere where she can build trusting relationships with her patients. She encourages everyone to exercise with a focus on staying fit and active. Dr. Blanton values the opportunity to help her patients with surgical or non-surgical treatments. Dr. Blanton loves travel and outdoor activities, including boating, hiking and running. Having volunteered on a mission trip to El …Salvador, she plans to continue that work in other countries. Although she and her husband don't have children yet, their pride and joy is a mini golden-doodle named Coco.
