OVERVIEW
Bruno V. Gallo, MD prior to this, he spent 5 years in private practice on the West Coast of Florida in Sarasota. He moved to Sarasota from his native Miami, after completion of his Epilepsy/Neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital under the mentoring of R. Eugene Ramsay, MD and Cosimo Ajmone-Marsan, MD. His internal medicine and neurology residencies were also completed at UM's Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gallo received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and his medical degree from the British Crown Colony School of Montserrat, University of the Caribbean. He is a Neurology Attending and Consultant at Jackson Memorial Hospital and a recipient of the Peritz Scheinberg Clinical Neurology Award. He completed the Bowman-Gray Mini-Epilepsy Fellowship under the direction of J. Kiffin Penry, MD. He developed a keen interest in movement disorders at the National Parkinson Foundation while working as chief resident. While in …private practice, his expertise in deep brain stimulation and movement disorders attracted the University of Miami to recruit him. He is currently Director of Intra-operative monitoring for Jackson Memorial Hospital's operating rooms.
