OVERVIEW

Dr. Brian J. Keener, a native of Maryland, received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. He then went on to the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine in Hershey for his M.D. degree. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Dr. Keener completed his fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. A Board Eligible orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Keener is a member of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society as well as the Mennonite Medical Association. Dr. Keener has a special interest in hand and upper extremity problems affecting patients of all ages.

"Waited 2 hours to receive 2 shots in my hand. The doctor must have been having a bad day. His staff realized I was still sitting in the exam room and had to go "outside" to find him. His glasses were still tinted when he returned to the room. that's how we realized he had actually left the building! No apology or explanation why he left me sitting in the exam room. He seemed pretty cavalier, and I did not feel that he was at all concerned about me. He is certainly not Dr. Peart who I had had in the past. I will be switching to another practice."

"Experience was great. The Girl who checked me in ,Bev, was not very friendly, efficient, but needs to be a little more personable because she is the first one you see. Dr Keener was great. The X-ray techs were great. Dr keeners assistance was very sweet. People are already anxious when arriving so a friendly hi how are you today would go very far. The last girl at check out was VERY friendly and up beat, now she should be in check in! Thank you"
