Dr. Brenda E. Nuyen, MD

Dr. Brenda Nuyen is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive cataract, pterygium, eyelid, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. She achieved the distinction of Salutatorian with Summa Cum Laude honors at the University of Southern California, and then went on to graduate from the UC San Diego School of Medicine with honors. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego and has since served thousands of patients in the greater Los Angeles area. Dr. Nuyen has published well-cited articles in several prestigious ophthalmology journals and given podium presentations at national conferences. She has also mentored students and residents in the field of ophthalmology, as she firmly believes in sharing her skills and education with health providers of the future.
