OVERVIEW
I have practiced psychiatry for over 25 years and I am currently working as Attending psychiatrist at Harbor UCLA. Because I have worked with men and women with wide-ranging troubles and diagnoses who have had greatly differing life journeys, I have learned the value of flexibility. I use different modes of psychotherapy depending on my assessment of the patient's needs. I also have a strong psychopharmacology background and prescribe medication when appropriate. I believe in a candid, respectful and collaborative relationship with the patient as well as with his or her referring healthcare professional if there is one.
One of my areas of expertise is Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I have studied with experts in that field such as Kernberg, Linehan, and Bateman. In 2014, I co-authored \"Le Manuel du Borderline\" (Eyrolles, Paris) the first comprehensive guide in French about BPD for patients and families.
