Dr. Schwarcz is chief of interventional cardiology at Englewood Hospital and a member of the Englewood Health Physician Network. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He is also certified in echocardiology and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Schwarcz specializes in the use of catheter-based techniques, such as percutaneous coronary interventions, to treat heart conditions. He helped create the coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) program at Englewood. He received his MD at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and did his residency in internal medicine, and fellowships in cardiology and in interventional cardiology, at Montefiore Medical Center. He has particular interest in angioplasty, coronary artery disease, echocardiology, nuclear cardiology, hyperlipidemia, stents, acute coronary syndromes, percutaneous coronary interventions, adjunctive tools in cardiac catheterization, preventive cardiology, and cardiovascular clinical research. …Dr. Schwarcz is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions.
