Dr. Ariel Niroomand Rad, MD

Dr. Rad is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in microvascular surgery and aesthetic plastic surgery. Dr. Rad is performs state-of-the-art techniques in breast reconstruction, facial aesthetics and reconstruction, and body contouring. Dr. Rad and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins described the LSGAP "love handle" flap which borrows tissue from the love handle region, a major advancement from the SGAP flap. Very few surgeons worldwide perform this operation, and Dr. Rad was featured in a worldwide press release and he presented the work to the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery meeting in Finland. He has published in major peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented his research at national and world meetings. As former Director of aesthetic plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Rad has trained young surgeons in the most advanced techniques in aesthetic surgery.
