I was raised by parents who are physicians of Chinese-Filipino descent. From the beginning, it was engrained in their children that the satisfaction of helping others was the best reward that anyone can have. I feel fortunate that my practice allows me to see patients as a unique individual, as it relates to the diverse cultural environment we are a part of.
