"Not happy with the end result, very disappointed ?? one eye is smaller than the. He went in deeper removing the bones around the around the temple. My eyes looked better before he did the surgery. The reason I picked him as my doctor is because he have all these rave reviews awards, and on the panel with eye association, and does lectures for graves eye disease. He's a great surgeon on paper but I feel like he's not what they hype him up to be. He is nice and friendly, but I wish that I would have gone somewhere else for the surgery."

"Very thorough in explaining, performing and following up on a very complicated surgery for my teenage son. I would highly recommend. "

"I saw him when he was at Kellogg. I thought he would help me with my eye issues. He was rude to the point be made me cry and told me nothing was wrong with me. I found another doctor that did indeed help me, but i will never forget the way he dismissed my pain and disfigurement. He is a horrible person."

"About four months ago I was diagnosed with a rare form of ocular melanoma, and my left eye became extremely tumored. Dr. Kahana performed the enucleation (the removal of the eye that leaves the eye muscles and remaining orbital contents intact) to perfection, and managed to remove all of the cancer without incident while saving my original eyelid in the process.
This man is a true miracle worker, and an ophthalmologist supreme, and I don't say this lightly. His expertise and professionalism is beyond reproach, a fact that is evident even among his staff.
Thank you for saving my life Dr. Kahana!"

"Terrible surgeon. Thankfully he lost his job at UofM."

"I am happy to hear he is no longer with the U of M. I agreed to having tear duct stents being placed not disfigurement of the inner corners of both eyes. It was a horrific experience to say the least. I spoke to him on the phone a few days later very upset about the wide slits in the corners of my eyes and was told that I would thank him later. Needless to say, both stents fell out before my post op appt, but the scars in the corners of my eyes remain."

"Not happy at all. He disfigured my eyelids, and I am in the process of having them fixed by another doctor. I couldn't be anymore pissed at Dr. Kahana, and afraid to have this new procedure done due to worrying that it will mess up my appearance even more."
