Dr. Alexis M. Bailey, MD

Alexis Bailey, MD is a psychiatrist at the UVM Medical Center and an assistant/associate professor of adult, child and adolescent psychiatry at the Larner College of Medicine. Her research interests include health and wellness and social and affective neuroscience.  Dr. Bailey practices evidence-based psychiatry with compassion and an understanding that no two people are exactly alike. As a result, she believes that treatment plans should reflect the whole person and not only their diagnosis. In treating the whole person, Dr. Bailey focuses on whole-body health, promoting behaviors including proper sleep hygiene, healthy nutrition, creative self-expression, reading and learning, physical movement, mindfulness/meditation, and social connection.   This approach to care supports the health and wellbeing of the whole person and family, and involves getting to know what matters to each patient and/or family and developing a plan based on their values, needs and goals. Dr. Bailey believes this is an important component of psychiatric management, alongside standard treatments such as therapy and medication.  Learn more about psychiatry at the UVM Medical Center.

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
