Dr. Alan Stuart Pearlman, MD

Dr. Pearlman is a UW professor of medicine (cardiology), and was director of echocardiography at UW Medical Center for many years. His clinical interests include general cardiology, and he has particular expertise in echocardiography (cardiovascular ultrasound) and valvular heart disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the American Society of Echocardiography. He is one of a few cardiologists in the Seattle area to have earned the certificate of the National Board of Echocardiography. He is past president of the American Society of Echocardiography, and is currently editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography.
