"Only one star given because it was required. My dad died of pancreatic cancer just over a week ago. He was diagnosed in February. When given his diagnosis, it was a small tumor located only in his pancreas. After his diagnosis there was zero urgency to start any treatment or even go over options. It was over a month before anything was discussed. He finally started radiation and completed that in May. He did not have another appointment regularly scheduled after that until August. Pancreatic cancer is fast moving and nobody seemed to care that much time was passing. He went to the hospital for a pain blocker in July which was not able to be performed, but testing was done while there and we were told his tumor had shrunk significantly. A week or so after being told that, he had to go to the hospital again (different hospital) and while there, he was told that his cancer had actually spread. To his liver, stomach, and lymph nodes. He was released and sent home to start palliative hospice ...
care. My mom called this doctor's office and left a message for him that she had several questions. Nobody ever called her back. Nobody has still called her back. My dad died a week after being out of the hospital. How does a doctor get a prognosis so incorrect? His tumor dis not spread everywhere in a week. Maybe if he had more urgency to help my dad, he would still have a little bit left to live. This was complete neglect and I have lost my dad because of this careless doctor. We picked up his ashes on my birthday. I hate this doctor. As a person, and professionally. "
