"David Streem, unfortunately, is unqualified and inexperienced to the point of suggesting life threatening treatment. He has cut patients off, cold-turkey, from very high doses of Klonopin. (clonazapam) Doses that have been taken for decades. According to the Benzodiazepene Research Coalition : “There is near-complete uniformity of opinion both in the medical profession and in the benzodiazepine recovery community that abrupt cessation is a dangerous and unacceptable method of benzodiazepine withdrawal. Sudden withdrawal from benzodiazepines leaves the brain in a state of GABA-underactivity, resulting in hyperexcitability of the nervous system. This hyperexcitability is the root cause of most of the withdrawal symptoms. Abrupt (cold-turkey) or over-rapid withdrawal, especially from high dosage, can give rise to severe symptoms such as convulsions, psychotic reactions, acute anxiety states and even death.” Clearly unqualified for any position let alone head of the Cleveland Clinic's Center ...

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
