"My review of my experience with Doctor Loveland. Coming into my appointment I had high hopes for Doctor Loveland, as a few different people had told me positive things and that he was a good Doctor. This makes me believe that for others he is a good doctor. However, for myself, I found a vastly different experience. I went to the initial appointment. He said he was going to send for my records from my doctors out of state, that I have been with for well over ten years. He did some lab work. Follow up appointment was set up. Said follow up was today. No medical records had been requested, and that my labs did not show an autoimmune nor thyroid disease. I have said labs, and both are on there. Even with steroids my ANA is elevated. My thyroid is off again, even with my thyroid medication. I have had thyroid issues since I was 14 years old, when they were discovered, as well as been maintained by numerous doctors for the 25 years since. I told him I have been gaining weight. I went ...
to the ER on 08/03/2020, at 11:30pm, today is 08/10/2020 first thing in the morning. I weighed x amount on the 3rd, and y amount today, a 19lb difference in six days. I told him my thyroid and menstrual cycle are off again. He tells me you cannot gain weight while throwing up. “You must not be throwing up much then” I explained again my history. I asked again why my medical records were not sent for as he requested last appointment. He says to me, “When you look around, what do you see? Fat people or skinny people?” I said that I see both. He said, “you see mostly fat people. Do you think everyone has a thyroid problem?” I said of course not. What I should have said is that I am not everyone and I know my body and how it functions and does not function. That there is always the exception to the norm. That because you hear hoof beats you assume horses, sometimes it is a zebra. He told me that overeating causes you to gain weight. I am not perfect, will never claim otherwise. However, I am carful with my food. I do not eat fast food rarely ever; I cook my food at home. I limit my carbs and sugar. I drink only water. In the 6 days, I have been sick. Two of the days I did not eat at all, but one small bowl of yogurt each day. The third and fourth day I had a bowl of soup. The fifth day I have chicken and veggies. The six day I had salmon and veggies. Today I went to my appointment and ate nothing beforehand. He did not even ask about my eating habits. I did the math. To gain 19lbs in 6 days, I would need to consume 49,000 calories @ 8,166.67 calories as day. I do not even know how you would do that. To assume the weight gain in a ridiculously small window of time is solely on eating is ludicrous. I had already expressed concern that I was gaining weight in the initial appointment, but it was not this extreme. I do not understand why you would not ask appropriate questions to access why this is happening, but assuming that the patient is fat and lazy. So, my review. If you are not fat, you likely will see the version of the doctor I was referred to. If you are fat, you will likely see the version of the doctor that I experienced. I have enough issues in my health to be made to feel as he made me feel. It is not in my head. I weigh excessively more then I should for my lifestyle and eating habits. I own my issues and my imperfections. I know myself and my body. I do not appreciate the manner I was treated and made to feel. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
