"I wanted to email my GI Doctor, Dr Raczkowski, to ask him for advice on otc meds to help with ibs flares from chronic anxiety. Instead I got Misty. Misty refused to listen to my actual symptoms and how they are/were caused by severe chronic anxiety that I've had for over 6 months. Instead, she saw that I had a previous IBS diagnosis and immediately said I should stop taking my probiotic and take an antibiotic that's fda approved for IBS-D (which isn't the IBS I have). It made no sense to take me off of probiotics either when probiotics significantly improved my symptoms and my flares from anxiety would be 10x worse without them. When I questioned her, she became extremely defensive and angry. She said she was a nurse for decades and that she knows more about IBS than I do (tho I've had IBS for longer and have done as much research into it as possible). She claimed IBS is due to SIBO but I have absolutely no SIBO symptoms, and she refused to test me for it saying the testing is unreliable ...
(when there's 3 different kinds and they are actually reliable). I even looked at reviews for the antibiotic she wanted to put me on and half the people who took it for IBS saw a permanent worsening of their IBS symptoms. Hell NO. I looked at the website for the antibiotic, and all the studies that were done on it show that symptoms come back within 4-24 weeks. The drug is $2400 without insurance. It's not worth the risk to me, and I'd much rather manage symptoms on the daily than get hooked on an expensive drug or have my symptoms be worsened permanently. I told her this, she ignored my concerns. She told me I should make an appointment ($50 copay) so she could lecture me in person. I said no. I asked for testing, she said no. She wanted me to make an appointment so she could lecture me again, I said no. Now she's saying I can't see anyone within Digestive Disease Specialists aside from her, and if I don't like that I can go see a different GI doctor outside of DDSI. I'm sick to my stomach. How can a Nurse have that kind of power? How hasn't she been fired when she's this authoritative and power hungry? She's literally the worst. In the medical field there is a code of ethics, do no harm. After every appointment and email my anxiety got so bad it would cause another flare. I would have panic attacks just from getting an email from her. She's doing harm but no one cares. "

"She had the worst bedside manner I’ve ever encountered. She removed me from several drugs that my GI had me on for GI issues and said they were hurting not helping. I’ve never had a GI doc suggest you NOT take a probiotic, that was a new one. During our only teledoc she would not look at me directly and kept making faces of exasperation and visibly rolling her eyes during the few times I got to speak. She’s rude and off putting. She makes zero attempt to be human or treat the patient with any kind of respect. She does not mind throwing your current doctor under the bus. Does not answer questions well, let alone let you voice anything. She needs to get a different job. One where she does not interact with the public."

"She believes that only what is inside her own mind is true. She is very off-putting and dismissive and has been verbally critical of other medical professionals. I would suggest that she be reviewed concerning her own professionalism."

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
