"I love this doctor, he is knowledgeable, smart, caring and responsible. Although he has a busy schedule, he always accommodates my requests for an appointment. When my blood pressure was extremely high, I was able to get in touch with him and he took care of it immediately. His bed side manner is first class. I am so happy I found him as my cardiologist. I recommended him to all my friends and family. He is the BEST."

"My sister, who is 65, had a history of a congenital heart condition. She seemed comfortable with her treating cardiologist recommendation in another state, but I felt additional information was needed in order to address her significant shortness of breath issues. I wanted her to have a second opinion. After being evaluated by Dr. Hacobian, she learned she may benefit from additional testing and treatment to determine the cause of her breathing difficulties. It's been a long road but my sister is now able to breathe more comfortably and travel. He's a kind and brilliant doctor."

"I was having an issue with my heart beating irregularly and my blood pressure dropping. The symptoms made me very uncomfortable and also afraid. I was referred to a cardiologist and happily I met Dr. Hacobian. Dr. Hacobian sat with me and LISTENED to my symptoms. Since the symptoms were not always present, it was difficult for me to be diagnosed correctly by other doctors. Dr. Hacobian was able to determine what was wrong with my heart and how to fix it. His bedside manner is something I've never experienced in my 60 years. I wish all of my doctors were like him. "

"My partner was treated in a South Bay hospital and after spending 4 days there, he was advised he needed to be transferred to ANOTHER medical center in the South Bay in order to have a heart valve replacement. We were both terrified at the thought of having such invasive surgery for a man who otherwise was very healthy. Upon a friends encouragement, and advice, we sought a second opinion at UCLA health by Dr. Melkon Hacobian. Thank goodness we took our friends advice. Dr. Hacobian evaluated my partner, ran multiple cardiac tests over several days, and determined surgery to replace his mitral valve was not necessary. Dr. Hacobian probably saved my parter's life and we will be forever greatful. Needless to say, my partner (who is doing well), and all of my friends and family will be seeing Dr. Hacobian for their cardiac care."

"I wouldn't trust him to take care of a worm. I switched cardiologists to Hacobian because he was on rounds in the hospital and saw me in the ER when I had post-heart attack chest pain in April 2023. He seemed to take me so seriously and he confirmed what I'd previously been told about the need to have stents inserted in my blocked coronary arteries. I appreciated his sense of urgency. I had the surgery some time later (not by him...he is not a surgeon), and I continued on with him as my cardiologist. In September 2023 I had a regular checkup appt. with Hacobian where he decided to take me off of one of my heart medications...the very one he put me on that day I met him in the ER. Four days later I woke up with relentless chest pain and ended up in Saint John's ER where I underwent a plethora of tests and attempted remedies. After EKGs, an echocardiogram, X-rays, endless heart monitoring and blood tests...they concluded that I needed to go BACK on the medication Hacobian took me off of. ...
They had to increase the dose, and three days into my hospitalization, the pain finally subsided. His poor decision cost me money, time, trepidation, discomfort, trust... When I was out of the hospital I talked to him on the phone and asked why he didn't taper me off of the drug. He gave me some lame response about the pill's not being coated and that the dose couldn't be lowered. That's not true. The tablet is scored, so it could be cut in half. Or he could have had me take the medication every other day. But he took me off of it cold turkey, and I am the one who paid a very heavy price for his ineptitude. I gave him a piece of my mind and made him apologize, but that did nothing to make up for what he put me through. I would never trust this man again. Never! "

"I had an unusual and "concerning" symptom, not classic, for heart issues. Dr Hacobian started with conservative care, full testing and follow-up, then progressing to successful invasive treatment. I truly appreciated his willingness to "stay with the problem" until it was fully identified and resolved."
