"Do not go to 3311 Hylan Boulevard if you are seriously injured and require immediate care. This place is a death trap. My fiance had Strep B sepsis from a hunting injury and was referred there by an ER physician at SIUH North because they have a walk-in clinic. He was seen right away by Dr. Babus' physician assistant, Michele O. Twito, who seemed to fully understand what was going on. She referred him for an MRI, renewed his meds, and sent him for physical therapy and acupuncture at a local office. He immediately scheduled and did the MRI on March 2, 2020, and completed three treatment sessions with the PT/Acupuncture office March 2, March 4, and March 6, after which his condition gravely worsened. Repeated calls to his office the following week for the MRI results were handled by rude impatient staff members. After demanding to speak with PA Twito on March 12, she finally spoke with me over the telephone. She was rude and arrogant, denied ever sending him to the PT/Acupuncture office, ...
denied ever receiving the MRI results from Verrazano Radiology, and then had the unmitigated gall to tell me that if I wanted the results I should go and get them myself. The next day, March 13, we went and picked up the MRI report and CD, which showed that my fiance had osteomyelitis with stenosis and discitis of the cervical vertebrae. It also showed that the findings were discussed with Dr. Glenn Babus on March 3, 2020! My fiance was immediately hospitalized, treated with broad spectrum IV antibiotics, and sent home with a PICC line for continued IV antibiotic treatment for 6-8 weeks, which is where we are currently. We do plan to seek legal advice as soon as he is well enough. This entire experience was a real nightmare. During this ordeal, he was unable to sleep, unable to eat, in severe pain, nauseous with dry heaves, lightheaded, and unable to think clearly. If he was alone, he probably would not have survived. Do not go to 3311 Hylan Blvd., SI, NY, 10314 if you need immediate medical care. They apparently have no medical ethics or concern for the lives of their patients. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
