"Last fall/winter I went to Amy Vaughan's office for the clear and brilliant treatment for hyperpigmentation. I was told by one of the nurse practitioners that it would be a good option to reduce my dark spots on the center of my forehead so I scheduled to go back to get the procedure done. I found a deal online where I purchased 3 and got 1 session free so 4 total. Before doing this treatment no one examined my face to determine if it was truly the best option for my condition. The first treatment day my pictures were taken so they would have before pictures. The first couple treatments seemed to do very well and I could see an improvement with my dark spots and I was very pleased. I was supposed to go back for my third treatment when someone called and canceled my appointment because the machine went down. I didn't think anything of it but several weeks passed and I still had not heard from the office about rescheduling so I called them. I was told the machine was fixed and they could ...
get me back in to do my third treatment. I noticed after this particular treatment that my face burnt more than usual after and seemed to be more irritated than the first couple treatments. When I went back for my fourth one I told them the issue I had and how it seemed to burn me more than the previous ones. I was told that was a normal reaction because they got a new machine and it goes deeper for better results. After my fourth treatment my face was ON FIRE. It was so red it was almost purple and it was as close as it could get without blistering. As my skin healed I noticed that around my eyes the skin was very white and everywhere the laser hit had hyperpigmentation. I have noticed even now that when I get hot everywhere the laser touched turns blood red while around my eyes stay white. After my skin was done healing I realized how badly the hyperpigmentation had gotten but not only around my forehead where the small patch of hyperpigmentation started but EVERYWHERE the laser touched. I sent pictures to the office and they agreed that it was much worse than the first time I had gone in so they gave me Obagi Clear and Obagi Blender to lighten and bleach the skin until I could get back in for them to see what to do. While waiting for my appointment I went to another facility to have them give me their opinion on treatment so I could compare. Not only did they have me answer questions about my skin, they put my face up to a camera that took pictures of all angles of my face and transferred them to a computer to show the issues I have with my skin and the best treatment option. Amy Vaughans office DID NOT do anything like this. I was told before leaving that particular appointment that I have melasma and my face should have never had lasers put on it since the lasers themselves produce heat and that bring melasma out more. Fast forward to a couple weeks when I go back to Amy Vaughans office. Amy came in (First time ever meeting her) and put my face under a blacklight. That was it. She then started telling me what other packages I COULD purchase in order to get my skin back on track. I spent $650 to receive a TERRIBLE result and to be told I could purchase other laser packages or chemical peels. I was not given a discount. I was basically told it was no ones fault but my skins for reacting the way it did. I feel they should have stood behind their treatment and when favorable results were not given they should have made it right. I feel like a dermatologist should see you before any treatment is done to your face. I feel like the end result should be more important than the money. I was highly disappointed in the way things were handled and I will NEVER give them another penny of mine and I will be sure to spread the word to others. Below is my before and after. The first picture with the black background was the before. The other 3 was after. I realize how minimal now the damage was initially and wish I had never let them touch my face! Plea "

"I have been to Dr. Vaughn's office 3 times and have never met with Amy in person...even though I specifically asked for her. The PA came in and looked me over for literally 5 seconds and said I had rosacea without me even taking off my makeup. She began to run out the door and I asked her to wait a minute because I had written down every product I use on my face to see if it was causing a reaction. She again looked over it for a few seconds and said everything looked good. When I got the bill for that session I was charged a fee for "extra office time". She spent less than 5 minutes with me. I was OUTRAGED. I will never go back and tell everyone how horrible my experience was."

"When I went to see Dr. Vaughn I was put in a room and seen by a nurse practitioner only. I said I wanted to see the doctor for a scan and removal of some suspicious spots. She said the doctor doesn’t see patients anymore except for cancer surgery. She rushed through the visit and I was told to leave my underwear on for the scan. This means she never gave me an entire body scan. Wham Bam. Yuk. "

"Horrible experience. Never actually saw Dr Vaughn. Saw a girl who I assume was a Nurse Practitioner. She never introduced herself. They never tried to get to the root cause of my eczema. Just pushed Dupixent and when I refused because of a needle-phobia they pushed harder. Then they threw steroids and creams at it while still pushing Dupixent. Must be getting a major kickback. Now my skin is even worse and I've wasted my time and money. I'll never go back to this office and I'll never recommend them. "
