"Dr. William L. Hiser MD ???? Baystate Cardiology ???? If your looking for subpar service! Disgruntled and miserable staff (not all but some) and call backs and or responses about your health concerns a week or more later, then go here! You’ll be treated like you just stepped off of a heart attack assembly line! Here’s a test or two, some medication and sent on your way.. “See you in a year!” I’ve tried my best to give this place a fair shot, nearly two years of my life in fact of going back and forth with a cardiologist who could give two shits about my life and care. He defaults to a laundry lists of medications with no consideration to preconditions, side affects or anything remotely conducive to your growth medically post heart attack! Countless months being torched by side affects, articulating and communicating explicitly to him how the meds affect me only to be put on more meds and feel worse! I have an underlying issue currently that I can’t even get clear cut answers too because ...
apparently his pride and ego have set the precedent here before any care whatsoever! At least for the cardiologist in question and some of his underlings that is! Can’t speak to the entire practice, I will say that. Now he’s decided to drop me as a patient because I advocated for myself and demanded that he stick to his oath and provide better care! I received a text message about heart failure medication that was sent to my local pharmacy, which prompted me to call the office and ask what was going on because that term “ Heart Failure” had never been used in the two years I’ve gone there! Only to be given an unclear diagnosis and test result via email, rather than my provider calling me and letting me know that my heart is on the decline and failing! ALL VIA EMAIL! As of yet, I haven’t received clear and concise test result from a most recent Echocardiogram and full blood work up. I was contacted by my doctor only after I learned about my heart failure through my local CVS pharmacy and complained to the nurse at the cardiology office that the guy sent me an email telling me I have heart failure, and that my heart function is in decline VIA EMAIL and has provided no clear and concise careplan going forward, other than guess what! MORE MEDICATION!!! This doctor is unprofessional to say the least! During a phone call with him last year, he completely lost it over the phone and used language with me that was so disrespectful that I had to report him to management and escalate the issue of his lack of professionalism! He did it in the presence of another practitioner at that! And even then, I still gave him a chance to take charge of my care because I still had some faith in him as a doctor and provider! What a mistake! I am reporting the practice and this doctor to the state board in hopes that this place gets an audit, corrections and changes actually get made! I am writing this in hopes that others don’t make the same mistake I did! As a young man suffering a heart attack, it’s been tough learning how to navigate around this new ailment and way of life as a result of bad genetics! No one needs a doctor or a practice who’s job is to care for you and look after your better interests making you feel worse than when you walked in. Maybe I wasn’t the right skin color, and didn’t deserve better care? Maybe the doctor is only proficient in dealing with geriatric patients? Maybe he was upset that he was reported and didn’t care to treat me anymore and was looking for ways to get rid of me? Who knows! Thanks for NOTHING Dr. Willam L. Hiser! You stole a year and a half of my life! Added ZERO improvement to the quality of my life and care you would expect to receive from a professional who’s job is to “Do No Harm” And I pray I’m well enough to get back everything I’ve lost under your care or lack there of, it’s clear you don’t want patients who can speak up and advocate for them selfs….. Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
